Explorer Cases alongside the THRUST Team – University of Padua

Explorer Cases is proud to announce its collaboration with THRUST, the student team from the University of Padua dedicated to the design, construction, testing, and launch of sounding rockets for scientific and research purposes.
Entirely composed of students and young volunteer professionals from various academic backgrounds, the THRUST team is a shining example of multidisciplinarity, passion, and innovation in the field of aerospace engineering.
On May 5th, 2025, the team successfully launched their first rocket, SFR0, from the Aremogna Plateau in Roccaraso, reaching an apogee of 1,250 meters at Mach 0.45 and validating all subsystems except propulsion.

Explorer Cases: safety and reliability at every stage

To ensure maximum protection during the transport and handling of the most delicate and critical components, THRUST chose three Explorer Cases:

  • Explorer Cases 7635HL: used for the safe transport of the engine and fuel, thanks to its shock-absorbing foam interior and moisture-resistant seal.

  • Explorer Cases 3317: used to house the ignition electronics, including relays and an antenna that bridges the remote control and the electrical circuit.

  • Explorer Cases 2214: used for the transport of reagents, ensuring safety throughout handling and transit.

Explorer Cases is proud to support aerospace research, contributing every day through our commitment to ensuring the highest quality and reliability in Explorer Cases products.
This collaboration demonstrates how our solutions can truly make a difference, even in the most ambitious and cutting-edge projects, where attention to detail and the pursuit of excellence are essential.
